Medical technologists with a clinical background perform various clinical tasks including, assisting with the administration of medications, minor procedures, performing an EKG electrocardiogram, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, educating patients, and other related tasks. Job opportunities are prevalent with physicians' offices, clinics, chiropractor's offices, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

FOCUSED

I am in my mid-30s, and just thinking about starting a new career was scary. I didn't think I would be able to start all over again, but I took a leap of Faith and signed up for a medical assistant course with Jeremi College. Boy, was it a great choice and so worth it! I had an awesome teacher that loves what she does. From book materials to real life experiences, she took us on a ride that I couldn't wait to go on by myself. The classes are small, which makes it more comfortable to ask questions and get more practice with hands on skills.

Maricela Garcia | CMA Program

"I am happy and learning so much with my current Externship. I am very pleased that I made the decision to attend Jeremi"

"I was hesitant with the program at first but it turned out to be one of my best decisions. Dr. Sandra gave us very encouraging and motivational talks and it was obvious that she cared about us making something of ourselves. Ms. Bell was always there calling and following up with our progress and asking us if we needed anything and Ms. Lori kept me calm about taking my NHA Exam"

Lashonda Bluiett | CMA Program

“I really appreciate the time Jeremi invested in me. I remember everything Mrs. Green said about practicing how I’d work. I remember what she said about the proper techniques. I even remember getting my hand slapped a time or two.

I was truly given all the tools necessary to be successful. I’ve had several work opportunities since graduating and when asked if I can do something, I say yes with confidence in my ability to execute. My employers say my skills demonstrate I was taught very well, so thank you.
